I eventually played to my handicap in a competition yesterday, scoring 37 pts. First got handicap in May and had hit the buffer a couple of times but most weeks it was another +0.1 during the summer season. I hope this is me turning the corner. I have often played below my handicap in bounce games but seem to go to the dogs with a card in hand. I was convinced I was heading towards 28 maybe I can avoid that if I can keep this up.

Well done that man!!!!

Well done Lawrence,

I reckon scoring in competition has a lot to do with self-imposed limits, once you break a barrier it doesn't seem such a big deal to do it again, it's like the brain realises its not in uncharted water and is comfortable performing. Now that you've shot that in comp no reason you can't rock up and do it again, and better it. Don't worry if that doesn't happen next time out, but the next time you're still in play at the turn you should feel confident you can bring it home.

Happy days. :)
