To quote the BBC website;

During last year's eruption UK airspace was shut down completely by the authorities as a precaution but this time airlines will make their own decisions about whether it is safe to fly

Since I'm flying Ryanair I can guarantee we will be flying cloud or no cloud!

We have 7 weeks until we go away to Florida so we should be ok.
I hope it settles down soon though otherwise airlines and insurance companies will have another excuse to increase their prices.

Considering they have to pay you compensation I think we'll be fine!

They will be firing us in a catapult if no planes are available such is Ryanair's tightness and hatred of us "cattle"!

I got stuck in Barcelona for a extra 3 days because of the ash cloud last year. I was made up when our flight was cancelled I just checked in the hotel for a extra 3 nights and easyjet reimbursed me the money when I got home.
