My course is in top nick. However, the "first cut" is uber-tangley and they've bought it in to narrow the fairways. Too many "under 15 yards wide" landing areas for me.

Club champs this weekend so I'll be interested to see what they do. I'm sure they'll leave the rough as is and maybe cut the fairways although to be honest a lot are parched brown so maybe not. The greens are top draw at the moment so I can see some interesting positions being used. Middle of the green all day I think.

I'm pretty happy all in all 8/10

My course is ok i suppose. Greens are slow but quite smooth after some spiking being recently done, fairways very good, bunkers not too bad but could probably do with more sand in them and the tees are pretty good nick. Overall 7/10

Our course at the moment is in pristine condition.....The drop of rain we've had has worked wonders....Greens are just right....Not rock hard but just soft enough to get a ball to stop from anydistance....The odd part looks a little parched but its coming round nicely.

If i have one quam its that the fairways could do with a little more height on the grass in places.....

As lush as lush can be!

During the dry spell the course did dry out leading to parched looking patches on the fairways. Greens were generally good but lightning quick and as slick as an ice rink.

With the rain over the past week or two the whole course has become beautifully lush and very green.
Greens and tee boxes are in good nick.

The only gripe I have at the moment is the overgrown shrubbery and trees. About time many of the shrubs were trimmed back, especially when some of them obscure your view on some tees.

No drought in Scotland, the course is pretty good at the moment. Greens are nice and quick and the rough is pretty deep and lush. The tees could do with a bit of attention but they've had a lot of traffic over the last month.

Are you happy with the condition of your course or is the grass greener at the course next door?

I've played away quite a lot recently (deliberate play on words Smiffy) and I have to say that I can't think of any course within 20/30 miles that is greener than Sundridge Park. We are fortunate that we have our own bore holes and, although limited by Thames Water (I think), our fairways are quite lush and the greens are exceptional. OK, there are a few patches here and there on the high points that are a bit more brown than green, but I do mean a few.

Our aim is to cut the greens to about 3mm but this is raised to 4mm if there is any sign of stress to the grass. The putting surface on the East course is magic. The West course has just been hollow tined and will probably not be quite as good for another 2 weeks.

Most of the courses around here are parched and, although the greens are watered, you can't attack the pin as your ball will end up off the green and if the fairways are sloping you can't hold the ball on them. Some are almost unplayable.

I feel very lucky to have joined this club

If any southerners want to be reminded of what cool green fairways look like, I'll happily take a few photos for you on Wednesday and post them here

I couldn't be happier with my course at the momment to be honest. Prior to last week the fairways were hard and greens were v.fast but for the last 8-9 days we have had a lot of rain which has only helped the course.

The greens are a lot softer but not too soft and they will take a pitched shot unlike 2 weeks before when everything had to be landed 15yds shy to have a chance of staying on the dancefloor.

A couple of fairways did have a small amount of scorching on them but that is understandable after having about 4 weeks of solid hot sunshine.

My course peaked for the club champs in mid June when it was in fabulous nick. They've let the greens grow slightly since then (and hence slowed them a little) to cope with the foot traffic, but the recent rain has greened the fairways up beautifully. So yes, very happy at the moment.
