Are Epon golf clubs sold in the United Kingdom?

Yes you can buy them from places that specialise in japanese forging, expensive for what they are though but they are quality irons
Pretty much spot on description from my experience. I've hit a mate's Epon labelled set and they felt similar to any of the Miura forged sets I've owned (I still have 2 sets of Miura forged McGregor PCB Tours). I also have a 'set' of Tourstage (Bridgestone's 'premium' model) MR23 US Spec/Blade combo that are Endo forged - as are many Tourstage models. Endo also produces forged sets for Titleist and other 'OEMs' -especially Bridgestone!

It's marketing costs that prevent many of the 'boutique' Japanese companies from selling more of their high-end products under their own label(s) outside Japan! Marketing in Japan, for many products - especially luxury ones, is done rather differently to elsewhere!

our place over the years has had its bunkering changed 4 or 5 times. back in the 30's there were something like 170 bunkers on the course, went down to 130, then 120 then 96 back 120 again for the Walker Cup, now chanhing again with the Mackenzie and Ebert redesign goin on at the moment. I'm told most started on on the fairway with about 30 /40 ish on the middle of the fairway, as they narrowed the course some that were edge are now in the rough, i think we may be down to around about 120 again once the new layout is done

All that manipulation must have cost the member a lot of downtime.
Our course was closed for two seasons. Needed a complete rebuild to improve drainage. Seemed like forever.
Fortunately, the drainage problems were completely addressed. The course is more beautiful than ever except for some nice trees lost in the blasting and bulldozing.
Lots of baby trees-- protected with stakes for a few years.

The main difference between say an epon and miura compared to your run of the mill mizuno or titleist is the consistency of the head weights. They dont have to add tip weights to shafts to swingweight them because the quality control on them is so tight. You can be sure with a set of epon or miura if they are built to a certain swingweight and loft, that is exactly what they will be. With the mainstream OEM's they may vary slightly in swingweight and loft as they have looser controls on products which aren't produced to as tight a tolerance. You are really paying for the peace of mind when purchasing a set like these.

That’s not completely true because, the grips and shafts all have a tolerance too, so tip weights will still need to be used.

I agree around the lofts etc, Though, but that’s still an after build adjustment

The club builder weighs these though and if they know their stuff they sort them for weight so they will use certain shafts out of a batch to achieve a swingweight. This is basically what the tour trucks do and is the difference between a set properly built and spec'd to a set you buy out a shop or your average joe builds
