I admire your ability to remember every shot and your excel/database skills, but you’re probably in the minority with that ability..

I don't remember every shot. I just write down after each one in a small notebook something like "DRIVER 220 545" - 5/5 for Swing, 4/5 for Ball Flight, 5/5 for Accuracy. When I get to the green, I might have something like 18/2. 18 foot first putt, 2 foot second putt. The program works out I've hit the green with my second shot and calculates distance from pin average from there.

Ive been using Arrcos since the start of the year and love it. The stats it provides are useful in showing me where I need to improve. As it gathers more data through more use I think the club selection -caddie- will be a fab addition to my game.
If you are a gadget man and love golf it is fantastic.
I like checking my actual distances versus what I thought they were, including the “range of distances” I hit each club.
It doesn’t take up anytime on the course other than marking where the pin is on the green to improve the accuracy of data, no tagging, no subscriptions.
As mentioned earlier, the customer service is amazing. Very proactive, they recognised one of my sensors was faulty and told me before I even knew it was broken. I had a new one sent to me before the weekend!
I totally recommend it.

I have Shotscope and whilst the watch is great as a "front, middle and back" distance device I find that the device can easily miss up to 10 shots a round. I queried this with the makers and their answer was to take more practice swings or swish the club near the ball more, this is something that like tagging the Game Golf I dont want to do, I might take one practice swing but I dont want to change my routine just because the device needs me to.

This loss of shot recording means I have to do a fair bit of editing and, frankly, it brasses me off given the cost of the product and the claims by the makers. I'd change for something else if it was certain that it would work properly but they usually are a couple of hundred pounds a time and that's a fair bit to spend on another device that may be no better.

Just following up on this, as it seems now Game Golf Pro is out, can get GG Live for £100. Wanted to check though, where people saying you have to have phone in pocket, with the belt clip on, can you leave your phone in your golf bag?

Here is the deal I have seen on amazon .. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-Golf-...e&qid=1555322006&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

GG Live you just have to tap the tag in the end of the club prior to hitting your shot.

The shotscope V2 has dropped a lot in price, if you don't mind wearing the watch which I don't it also doubles up as GPS device too.

So, you tap it on the belt clip, and the phone stays in the bag? Also, currently use MyRoundPro, and like that you get a graphic of the course on the phone, are you still able to do that on GG Live. I put my phone on a phone caddie on my trolley

Yes you only need the phone to load the course your playing through the app and sync your post round scores. Throughout the round you can do what you wish with the phone, you don't need to be within the app throughout the duration of your round.

For those of you using across how much do you actually have to interact with the system during the round..?

Is it a case of switch on the app and away you go.? Or so you need to be faffing around with the app during the round.

Really want something that doesn’t interfere with actually playing golf. Tried GG but tagging was so annoying.

Arcoss updated the ap last week

With an Apple watch now no need to have your phone in the pocket.
Start round on the phone
Put phone away
Play the round wearing apple watch

Its still in Beta, but no major issues detected
I might have to have another look now it can be linked to an Apple Watch.
