Anyone using or used a Odyssey Backstryke putter

I tried one out in Las Vegas bizarrely enough, tying in with another thread, as part of a set of hire clubs. And I just could not get on with it for love nor money. It just looked and felt weird. So personally I would not go near one, no matter what price. And if you are tempted then I would definitely recommend trying before you buy, no matter how cheap they are.

But having said this I am more than sure someone will post to say they are great, which is just as valid an opinion. If not more, as I am a happy hacker.

Looking at OnlineGolf and they are selling them at £59.99 which is very tempting anyone got any thoughts on them ?

only on the practice green, it gives a lovely roll!! they are also easy to align, but they look terrible. I couldn't put one in the bag simply because of that :o

if you can get over the looks, it's a decent putter

I originally picked up the Backstryke Sabretooth in AG quite a while back & I immediately fell in love with it.
It just felt lovely in my hands, just so well balanced.
At the time they were £109.00, which was a bit too pricey for me, so I carried on putting (badly) with my own putter.
I kept an eye on E-Bay & a Backstryke Marksman came up a reasonable price, so I bought it. (about 6 months ago)
What can I say? my putting was instantly transformed, it is now very unusual for me to 3 putt, & on a straight putt with no break I would be disappointed if I missed any putt inside 5ft - 6ft.
I even like the look of it, & the roll it produces is lovely.
I say go for it, at that price you can't loose, if you don't like it, you will get your money back if you stick it on E-Bay.

Thanks for the feedback

I tried one at silver mere and cooked so close to buying it at full money £179 I think, it felt awesome and part of me is still tempted, but I've heard some comment that they couldn't get on with the insert.

I've got a VP 1 milled at the moment but if that has a bad spell I haven't ruled a back strike out
