Hi all,

Can anyone give me an opinion or review of the Bushnell Z6 Jolt Range finder please. Is it much better than the Tour V3. I note its optics are 6x over the V3`s 5x and some other bits.

Quite close on price point so thought I would ask. Anything better out there at this price point or close?

Thanks,

Alex

I borrowed one yesterday because my v3 was inadvertently borrowed by a forum member last week and our kind leader (MH) is organising its return.

Personally I prefer my V3 - it just seems easier to use and the screen is brighter which I like. Also, for me, the V3 seems to lock on to the pin better

Al mines the original Tour Z6 (no jolt). The extra magnification in a smaller unit was why I bought it over what was the V2 at the time.

Surely you should be looking at tour X (or buying my Z6 and letting me buy one lol)

Oh, I guessed the Tour X was going to be a no no with the slope feature? Despite being able to (I assume) turn it off.

Tour X also going to be another £100 on the Z6.

Thanks, very interesting. I wonder if that is being used to a thing or the useability. Did you notice the extra optics strength?

Tour z6 Jolt here. Feels like a quality item in construction terms. The V3 feels like a larger kinder egg toy its all plastic. Really wasn't a fan of its 'feel'. Certainly not to warrant £250!! I got the Z6 on offer for basically the same money so was a no brainer for me.

No discernable difference in use around my course. Both locked on quickly and accurate. The extra magnification is a nice to have but not essential.

Not used the V3, but think the Z6 jolt is awesome, just press & sweep across the green & it vibrates when passing the pin irrespective of background.

Another z6 jolt user here. Much prefer the red display through the lens than black. Finds the pin very easily and mine only just needed a new battery after about 18+ months use. I play around 3 tikes a week all year roun .

Great, think I better go have a look at one. Is the Tour X legal in comps anyone?

Yes. I've (recently) got one and love it. You physically swap the face plate to turn the slope on/off. The Red plate enables it and the black one disables.

I used the slope on a practise round at a course recently and scribbled notes on my strokesaver before playing my match with the legal (no slope) version.

Still want to know what the slope on 13 works out as then?!

tbh Id like to play a hole round and compare it on every approach shot and see where the differences are and how much they are, dont think its just 13. also be useful on a few away courses too!

hmm might be talking myself into selling the Z6 and getting one lol
