Anyone played the Grove?

If you're desperate for a game after your conference then West Herts is very close to the Grove and will be in very good condition in the summer.........unless Murph has been taking half of it up beforehand!!! ;)

I would certainly recommend west herts, but then i would.

90 is the winter package, but i used to be able to get on for 55. Sadly no longer!

Played it twice, both times for gratis. I quite liked it, but don't hink it's a £145 a round good. If you do play it, pay the extra £30 and hire a golf board - best fun you'll ever have on a golf course

They have kindly offered to reduce the green fee from £190 to £145. Still expensive in my book but keen to know if it is worth it.

If you are staying there, the current resident rate is £85 and even cheaper after 1pm. If you are not staying it's worth considering, you can get stay and golf rate which is basically paying for the room and having free golf.

Depends really on when you are going if you can get good rates.

As far as the course is concerned I really enjoyed it, a lot of elevation changes, water, fast greens - what's not to like ;)

Im glad I played it (Thanks GM) and it is only 15 minutes drive away, but not in any rush to play it again, unless another freebee presents itself.

No doubt about it ,the service is excellent, and the course is always in good condition and presented well, its just not that memorable

This sums up my feelings exactly, although I don't know if that was down to the course or the company!:ears::D

Played there last Summer on a corporate jolly and enjoyed it...but.

Don't think it's worth the geen fee price and there's a lot better value out there.

The course is nice - but is it spectacular? No, not really in my view.
