any local knowledge out there?

Quack quack Ooops........As I recall it's one of those courses that's worth sacrificing distance off the tee for being on the fairway because the rough is fairly chunky and difficult to control a ball out of.
.
Fabulous course as indeed are all three there.
One of my favourites in the South East.
Fandabidozi!!
No need to sharpen your pencil then...😜😂😂:ears:
Fragger, is your society called the Domino GS then? I'm there playing the Red as well on Wednesday, out a bit earlier as part of the Audi day.
Group of us from my club played the Red and Green courses at the end of March on Frilford's winter deal (amazing value, bacon roll, lunch & 36 holes for £57, candidate for a meet next year). My memories of the Red are that the greens appeared to be a couple of months ahead of Goring and Streatley, which prides itself on fast greens. I'm expecting them to be a bit nippy after the last week of sunshine. And there seemed to be a lot of holes that had a fairway bunker especially crafted for each player, no matter how long or short our drives.
Great course though, think you'll enjoy it. Easily the best around our way, it's only a 10 minute drive for me and I would be a member if it wasn't so damned expensive.
Awful finishing hole, but the other 17 are really nice...
Lovely place to play golf
