anyone changed there irons from ap2 712 to 714, if so was it worth the upgrade? what are the differences

Try them both and find out?? I thought you were all set for a 714 fitting?

It's not always the gear my friend...

i played 2 rounds with friends clubs, ap2 712 really enjoyed the clubs feel off the face and ability to hit low shoots if needed, went back to my g20 and they just felt bulky after that and ball seems to go so high all the time. not sure about 714 or 712 as the 712 are cheap now so if there is not much difference 712 it is

I tried the 712 AP1s when I got fitted in January, great looking clubs but I wanted more help so went for the G20s. Do remember the AP1s being long when I caught them well though.

But will they last??

The G20's are a mile away from AP2's - totally different type of clubs.

Have you thought of the AP1's ?

Quality iron but still a good deal of forgiveness - possibly better at your handicap ?

Have a look at Mark Crossfields review from the Titleist Fitting Centre in St Ives. It's on you tube. He says the new models have a little more forgiveness.... Go have a look and a hit....

i tried the ap2 714 out on wedensday and the mizuno mp54s, both were quite forgiving, small head on the titleist wa surprisingly easy to hit, i loved the feel of the titleists but if you were concerned about price, the mizunos could be another option. i tried various shafts in both clubs and couldnt see any difference at all in distance and accuracy. I chose the mizunos just because i liked the feel of them.

i tried s300 and r300 on shafts on a demo club in driving range and made no difference at all, if anything the s300 went higher
