I always turn mine off at the spur, especially in todays energy costs!I don’t think there is much tbh. Bit of an urban myth.

With spurs being so close by it's not really a hardship to turn off and on as required
True but an induction Hob should have a 45A double pole switch, they are big and unsightly so people often have them in cupboards or somewhere else out the way.
Tbh I’m struggling to see where any “phantom load” would come from with an Induction Hob?

I think a lot is thrown about ATM due to the energy crisis .. TVs off at wall etc etc but a hob isn't like a TV it's not in standby surely
I mean does a kettle, air fryer etc phantom load?
