Any changes planned for your course?

Considering changes (pond creation where significant flood ponds form, and expansion of existing flood holding pond, new ditches) to cope with the 'one in a hundred year' downpours that seem to be happening every year. Despite being a sand-based course it's struggling to cope with the volume of run-off from adjacent fields and issues with our neighbour's (fields, ditches) that restrict and ultimately prevent complete drainage from the course.

At same time lengthen our 373yd stoke 11 hole to 420yds - making it a really challenging hole with second shot becoming a blind 150-160yder to a heavily front-bunkered and shallow green. SI would probably have to change to 5 or 7.

We are looking at extending and improving our 1st and 2nd holes.

It would add another 70yds and a dog leg right to the opener. It is currently 290 up a steepish hill and the green has a couple of shelves which can accommodate sensible pin positions. A new green complex would be a great addition.

Our 2nd is only 140 but the green is obscured by the front bunker - a new tee (current one would have to go to make way for the new 1st fairway) would stretch the hole out to 180ish and also give you sight of the green.

Not sure we've got anything planned but I guess we'll see the Red Bull money provides this year and how they plan to use it

Four big Poplars coming down by the side of the 8th, will really open up the hole for those who slice off the tee
