They are 100% effective. You glue a length of string to your ball and tie the other end to these glasses

Presumably they're just a pair of polarising sunglasses which cut reflection down. Handy for finding your ball at the bottom of a pond probably!

I have a similar pair which I won in some comp
Never found any balls, but really good for seeing the wonderful colours of nature !!!
Also good if you've got a headache
