My wife's birthday is coming up and she is a massive fan of apple products and has been looking at an Ipad. With a few relatives chipping in then I can just about get her one but I have some queries:
Has anyone used the Ipad and the Ipad 2. You can pick up the first gen Ipad for a couple of hundred quid less than an Ipad 2 so I wondered whether the 2 is worth the extra money. Would she get as much out of the normal Ipad or is it very much a false economy. I know, for example, that the difference between a few of the generations of Iphone was pretty nominal.
Also, have a query as to the 3G. I can afford a 3G enabled one with a lesser memory or a top of the range Wi-Fi only one. If you buy the Wi-Fi only version can you, for example, connect it to your IPhone to access the web on it via 3G. I know that I can, for example, turn my HTC phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot so as I can connect my laptop to the net when away from home but not sure if this works with IPad and IPhone.
Sorry if any of the terms I have used are incorrect but I am not that technically minded.
