Ours was £28.25, total, for 25/26, Dorset. My EGU fee last year was £11.50, do they charge different clubs/regions different prices?
Think it was £11.50 for EG and £6 for Northumberland County.

Not sure where the issue is...usually these offers arent "pay a week early and you get a discount", in which case I could see where you are coming from, but rather its a case of pay 5-8 weeks early. In our case the deadline to accept the offer, which went out on Jan 4th, is Jan 22nd, with a normal renewal date of March 1st.Don’t understand the pay early and get a discount bit. Surely just pay on time or if you’re late then pay a penalty/extra? Then there must be a time limit to stop you from playing or have your membership stopped for non-payment?
That's a big red flag in my eyes and I'd be very wary. That sort of request suggests financial problems.Wildernesse offered its members the opportunity to pay three years of subscriptions this year at the same price, to give the club some extra money up front, to invest and spend.
Likely a saving of £300-£350, which wasn't a bad deal, I thought.
I didn't take them up on it though... like I've got that juat lying around!![]()
Exactly the same thought from me.That's a big red flag in my eyes and I'd be very wary. That sort of request suggests financial problems.
We offer 5 years for the price of 4, been offering it for years and I know a few who have taken the club up on it.That's a big red flag in my eyes and I'd be very wary. That sort of request suggests financial problems.

4 year lump up front, if on taking it up the person falls ill or is leaving the Club etc you can get a refund pro rata.Do you still then pay it yearly or isit 5 year lump sum up front?

My experience of clubs wanting money upfront like that has been because they've been in trouble and they need money quickly. They may be okay and it works for the people who take advantage, or you can lose part of your moneyA lot of clubs do it instead of potentially looking at loans for things
We looked at something similar when we built the irrigation system but went with loans and members loans as well to help finance it
A lot of clubs run their budget to give a small surplus for minor projects , big projects could well need different methods

I'd have thought what you are describing is slightly different, it's for specific projects, it's made clear to members what it's for.
