Murrays just gone 2 sets to 1 up, if he wins another set it will be 2 aussie open finals in a row. I know a lot of people don't like him because of things he has said and done but he's just a bit dry. My mate can't stand him and always wants him to lose after what he said about england about 5 years ago.

Not liking him has nothing to do with his comments about the English, which was said to Henman, tongue firmly in cheek.

It is because he is miserable, petulant and sulky, like that other Scottish sportsman, Monty.

I hope he wins and goes on to win a Grand Slam event, I like him as a player, he has an 'edge' to his personality that makes him the player he is, nothing wrong with that!

As is often the case, the quote about the football was taken out of context.

Hope he wins the final. Never understood why some Brits don't support British players, teams etc. First ever club final i can remember was European Cup final Celtic, Milan in 1967, and i was a Celtic supporter that day. Reading must have got knocked out in an earlier round. :D

Really hope he does it. With Federer and Nadal out it has to be his best chance yet and having been in the final last year I'd back him to go one better.

It's only January but an early Sports Personality contender??? ....... I know, I know ..... but previous winners have included Nigel Monotone Mansell, Steve Interesting Davis, David "er yer know" Beckham and Ryan Giggs :D :D

You read it here first :D

He would be a shoe-in for it if he wins.

Never really understood why it's called the Sport Personality of the Year. Much better being called Sports Achievement of the Year.
