OK now is the time of year to play lots after work, fed up with worn out carry bag (wife has forgotten I own it). I went out today and bought a brand shiny new carry bag, mizuno renegade on sale for under £30 at NevBobs.

So how do I answer this question when she asks, how did you answer when you got asked this or how WOULD you answer it?

Obviously a trolley/staff bag for on the electric trolley, a decent carry/stand bag and a pencial bag for a lightweight or half set range/evening round option

I've got a stand, carry and pencil bag.

Used the pencil bag once. Now consigned to the corner of the garage, I imagine never to be used again.

Carry bag - used for non competition sessions and after work knocks. If I'm having ba practice knock after work and don't need the full set I simply take some clubs out. (hence no need for the pencil bag)

The cart bag - obviously for trolley use during competitions and weekend full rounds. Simples.

Actually it was HID who suggested I get a pencil bag for a holiday a few years back where they had a par 3 course nearby. Took half a set, a few balls and bits, no probs.

1) new bag to carry at £30

2) new cart bag + trolley/electric trolley to match. £150-450 ish

Easy. Just say the stand is pretty dodgy and likely to break soon and you spotted an absolute bargain. Tell her it is at least 60% off and then tell her it was such a bargain you had to buy it.

As a woman, she will be impressed by your eye for a bargain and understand that you had to buy it.

Job done.

Or she may hit you.

would recommend avoiding the callaway strike ones, had 2 of them in the last 6 months both had to be returned having fallen to pieces.

I use my cart bag during the summer and a pencil bag for a half set when i have a quick 9/10 holes of an evening. I use my carry/stand bag during the winter.

My cart bag and pencil bag fit in my locker so there's no pissing about swapping gear over every round.

I've got a couple of stand bags. One currently keeps all my spare clubs in one tidy place and the other gets used if I'm going up the club midweek straight from work so I don't have to use my go-kart and it can live in my locker
