anchoring the putter

Has there been any independent verification by any any authority of the strokes, like the cricket authorities looking at a bowler's action when there are concerns about "chucking"?

I wonder whether if someone like Adam Scott on the 'main' tour had carried on with the long putter in this manner whether there would have been more of an issue made of this-esp being in the winners circle this year and being a top-10 player. We might have seen some more high profile testing etc if that was the case.

The senior tour has a much lower profile, and other than Langer's first 3 rounds of the Masters-this issue doesn't seemed to have surfaced on the PGA/European tours.

Imagine if Rory suddenly turned up at the PGA championship practice green with a new Nike long putter using it in this none anchored fashion...
