Dear Mr Quiros

On selecting my team for the RTD this week I had a tough decision to make. I wanted to draft in Charl Schwartzel as he is also playing next week but I had to lose someone. Poring over the Masters records it came down to a choice between your good self and Martin Kaymer. Neither of you have excelled at Augusta but I mistakenly thought that surely the cool, calm and collected German with a masterly touch would rise to the occasion, while you the big hitting Spaniard fell by the wayside.

Never did I think that after round one 13 strokes would separate you both with Kaymer way out of contention on +6. Alvaro I am really sorry but if it is any consolation you have been in my team a lot this year. I promise to pick you for every other Major so long as you don't win this one. If you do I'm screwed!

Actually if you could finish outside the top ten that would be swell. Thanks in advance for you help in this matter.

Yours sincerely

A random British guy clinging to the small hope that he might win something golf related this year.

Nice one Tiger , you've got the same golf player picking ability as me. Although I have to admit Quiros is in my team this week as I thought his long hitting would help at Augusta , he's just as likely to throw in a 76 today though.

I`ve dropped so far down the rankings I don`t care anymore. Gonna stick with the team I`ve got for the rest of the season without changing them, see what happens. As for the masters, I`m in Japan and the in-laws don`t have Skapa or BS TV, therefore limited to highlights here and there, coupled with the fact that the TV coverage starts just as we go to bed and finishes just as we get up........ I`ve seen two shots played on a news summary so far..... :(

Lol. Sorry to hear that Owen. Probably the only time you'll be seen cheering on all the Americans in a Major to soften the blow. I've down quite well with my picks till now but the Quieos/Kaymer one was just woeful!

All I know is that I've got £2.50 each way on him since Thursday morning at 125/1! Fingers crossed! ;)
