Just wondering does anyone change their grip position for a particular club..

Yesterday has been one of the best rounds this year and something that i read in a magazine said that with the scoring clubs its best to have a weaker grip...

It seemed to work yesterday for me as with my normal grip i was pulling the shorter irons..

I do have a slightly weaker grip and also play my wedge shots with an overlap grip but normal shota with an interlocking grip

I am using a new grip for longer clubs but use my old grip for around the green, I may in time use one grip for all but at the moment I dont want to mess with my chips/lob shots as I hit them very well

Yes. For sure. If I held the club as strong as I do for woods with short irons, I'd be pulling them 20 yards left from 100 yards.

I find it quite safe to effectively cut across the ball with a wedge or 8/9 iron.
