Alone or not??

Cant say I'm a fan of solo golf these days, I prefer a bit of banter on the way round.
I find if I play alone I cant concentrate properly, it just doesnt feel like a game.

There are lots of other 'solo' events these days, where someone else's involvement is merely a bonus.

Jigsaws ?

Played alot on my own when I first joined my club but not so much now. I didn't mind it as I didn't embarass myself infront of anyone, now undone care! I found I concentrated more on my own less pressure to perform and not trying to knock the skin off the ball to keep up.

I play alot during the week by myself as i work shifts. I do prefer playing a round with other people but theres sometimes nothing better than going out early in the morning when the weather is like this and the course quiet and just being able to do your own thing.

Enjoy a round of golf for the craic with my fellow sufferers, the satisfaction (rare) of hitting the ball and being proud after the event, the resultant praise ( lucky bas****) and the exercise!

I was out last night for six holes on my own and despite the above ... throughly enjoyed it!

Found a wee key to better putting, I think, but my horrible sh*** at the approach to the first appears to happen with or without an audience!

I try to get up the club after work as much as possible this time of year. the course is always empty so try to play as many holes as i can before it gets dark.
I find it more usefull than smashing balls up the range.

As I am still getting my game back together after many years away I'm much happier on my own. If someone wants to join up then no problem as I've got plenty of time anyway but I love the opportunity of working on whatever part of my game I choose on the course.

I play 90% of my golf on my own and I love it. I can really work on my game and I'm not slowed down by hackers. Playing with similar standard players is enjoyable though as I like the competition but most players at my club are hacking it about. Just played 12 holes this evening on my own in glorious weather, can't beat it.
