All things BBQ and Braai

Yes, I bought a full packer brisket and some other bits and bobs a few months ago, I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. I think they only send out deliveries one day a week so don’t expect it the next day.
Cheers, just ordered a full rump and a whole fillet for the Christmas period, think it said delivery is end of next week and that works perfect for me.

Hopefully it is as good as it looks. 6kg of rump will give some nice chunky steaks.

I’m making a chilli for a party on Saturday and thinking of doing a pork/beef combo, maybe slow cooked pork shoulder and beef stewing steak or shin. Anyone had any success doing this?

Got the Ooni out again yesterday, haven't used it this year. Forgotten. How crap the pellets are from Love Logs, need to get some more direct from Ooni, the stone wouldn't go higher than 350°, so some undercooked bottoms unfortunately. Still tasted good.

We got ours out on Monday too. I always start it up an hour before we cook. Plenty of wood on hand. Pizzas came out beautifully.

Cleaned my BBQ the other day, ready for the season.

Every year I tell myself I will clean it before putting it away for the winter. But every year when it comes to it, I just put it away and think "That's a problem for Next-Year-Me".

Last-Year-Me is an A-hole.

I think we are all the same.

I just lit ours and hour early, chucked some of the logs for the log burner on it and lit those. Big roaring fire burnt everything away, gave the grate a scrape and was good to go

Got some friends coming around on Saturday for a bbq, I’ll be cooking/prepping for a lot of the day but I’m really looking forward to it.
The menu is…
Smashburger on arrival.
Then after copious amounts of alcohol followed by 3 x huge racks of ribs each with different flavouring and a pile of chicken wings with 2 different flavours.
May knock up a “slaw” for the side but I’m hoping that should be plenty 🤣

Send me your post code please! 😂😂

Just watching the Great British Menu and there is a South African lady chef who is barbecuing most of her food, soon be time for us to get ours out 😋😋😋

Ship I’ve just left cooked all the meat on a BBQ, to say it was outstanding still isn’t high enough praise 😀

You are prepared for the outrage? If she was S.African, surely it was a Braai 😂.

(Yes, it's just a BBQ 🤭).

Lovely to think it's not far away from BBQ time. Come on @Beezerk get your pictures out
Wash your mouth out! 🤣🤣

Braai is a proper event. Wood and by that I mean imported wood from South Africa or Namibia. Stuff that takes 2 hours to create coals to cook on and stays hot for ages. Proper
Adding charcoal (not briquettes) is acceptable but has to be a wood fire

Luddite!

Gas is best. Get it cooked, get it eaten, crack a bottle. No sitting around the campfire singing ging-gang-gooly waiting two hours for a burnt steak

I bbq/smoke 12 months of the year, main issue is it usually gets gobbled up before I get a chance to take some photos 🤣
Been trying to up my smash burger game for a few months, you’d think it’s a simple formula but heck no, so many nuances and routes you can go down 🍔
