alignment sticks

Hi James,

I picked some up for £15 at American Golf having previously nearly bought them at £30 in the pro shop at Woodhall Spa.

Garden centre, bamboo cane for about £3.

Do you want them for alignment or to pose about in your bag?? ;)

You got it, they do look very classy!

If anyone takes the pee I just tell them to wait and see the ball of wool that comes with these needles!

Ask someone visiting the US, or next time you visit, pop into Lowes.

Go to the garden\driveway section and get the marker sticks used for marking your driveway in the snow. These are exactly what you are looking for, $1 each.

My advice is get the brightest colour you can, yellow is good. There are loads of uses for them when practicing and the bright colours are clearer whether you use them for swing plane, alignment or as targets.

What a pile of crap this 'invention' is....as Robobum says if you are that desperate to look like a wannabee Pro save yaself some cash and paint some Bamboo sticks, they'll do the same job which from what I have seen from the knobs that carry them about is serve as a great head cover holder.

That said I would love to have been the man who thought up the concept,he must be sitting pishing himself laughing at the money he has made from the posers/knobs.

They take a few shot off your game each time you play as well you know!!!! ;)

A slightly unfair summary I would suggest.

One of the main issues that many an amateur has is allignment. When you have a pro watching then you don't have an issue, but they 9/10's of the time the pro isn't there many will need assistance, which is where the allignment sticks come in. They are a training aid, and one which I find very useful.

I have two sets in my bag :(
I also have iron head covers and own pink trousers, belts and shirts.
My golf shoes are Patent Purple, yellow, and Pearl (lizard effect) saddle.

I guess there is no hope for me. :D

Dodger reply at his typical best!!! :D

However for a more balanced view, if you want my opinion they are a pretty decent bit of kit for a practice aid. Yes you can use an old shaft/cane etc, that's fine by me.

I have a tendency start aiming right of the target subconsciously and these are an ideal quick way to get my alignment back on track, christ sometimes I have seen my feet aiming 20 yards right!

Use them regularly on the practice area and you will notice them working!
