Ball Deals

I saw a thread on Reddit the other day saying that Titleist have put the price up of the ProV1 by $3 per dozen so I'm expecting them to be trying to flog then for £55 a dozen here this year.

Might need to find a new ball when my current supply run out, not paying that for them even in the 4 for 3 deal.

I used them a few years ago now and the durability was excellent. Not sure about the newer models though, think it was 4 or 5 years ago I used them.
They were already a daft price but that is just hilarious.

I think Wilson balls have tested great, I've heard good things about the Model and Model X vs the ProV1 and ProV1x. Personally I'll be using the Triad this year, which is their softer offering, so I guess AVX sort of equivalent. I had them on the Christmas list, two boxes for £60, which my wife took advantage of.

My brother has switched to the Wilson Model X ball and says it's great. A few other low handicap guys I know have also changed to it. I should have enough Left Dashes to last next season even although I'm planning on moving back to a parklands course so I will lose a lot more balls than last season.

If lower launch and less driver spin was your reason for picking the AVX will launch lower, the Triad won't do the same thing.
But the Triad may still be a very good ball, so will be interesting to see what happens.

I guess they won't be completely like for like, I just kind of meant where they sit in each manufacturer's hierarchy of balls. 😄

Anyone seen good deals in the new year sales?

Looking at Bridgestone BRX at clubhouse at £23 per box for 2 boxes. Anyone used these before ?
After reading your post, I decided to buy a box of these. Main reasons........ apparently good distance off the tee, (a weakness of mine), and mainly for ease of identification. Most of my group are using Titleist, Callaway, or Srixon. There are very few Bridgestones on our course. I find loads of balls, so I didn't really need to make the purchase, thank you for acting as the prompt. Maybe I will report back.
