Anyone have any suggestions that may help with my alignment on the course. I am fine on the range where I have the mat etc to help me set up but on the course I always seem to aim left. To me I feel that I am set up correctly but I always seem to end up aiming left. It is not a hook or a draw sending it that way (though I am capable of doing both quite frequently) I am hitting it straight but just aiming off to one side.

Any suggestions.

Do you aim the same way each time, i.e. if you try and aim for the centre of the green, you actually always aim 10 yards left? If so, try aiming 10 yards right. That should solve your problem :)

Swap? I always feel like I am aiming straight but time and time again on the range I haveto force myself to aim further left which feels a little uncomfortable but I do hit the ball straight then.

how far left ARE you aiming?
It doesn't sound like an issue to me? As long as you are not aiming far enough left to hit it directly into the trees should you hit a straight one. If you were slicing/hooking then that would be a different matter, you should have the feeling of standing slightly open to the target with most shots (unless shaping one).

If you stand behind the ball, pick out a different coloured bit of grass, weed, leaf, worm hole, divot (there is always something) on the line between your ball, and where you want to go, and then align parallel to this imaginary line, you will be fine.

I use the method murph uses ^^^^

Came across it on a Justin Rose dvd, a bit of plumb-bobbing helps you pick out the mark infront of your ball too.

Definitely use the murph method - works very well. Chap I play with also puts his left arm out straight from his shoulder on the line of his shuolders as a check for his aim - seems to work for him.
