alcohol

I love drinking. Not in an alcoholic way - I just enjoy alcohol.

I'm really into real ale at the moment - I'm working my way through Sainsburys and TESCOs offerings. I also enjoy red wine.
I also prefer Cava to Champagne - I'm not too sure what that says about my palate.....

I'm sure my body could confound medical science!!! If I drink in a pub I wake up with the most minging hangover. If I drink at home - nothing. Not even a bad head. Why's that?

Talking about this has made we want a Badger's Fursty Ferret.....

I love those nights when you just nip out for one and end up staggering home at 5am. I do, however, hate myself the next day as I suffer from some of the worst hangovers known to medical science. I never ddrink during the week though. Typical binge drinker me. Had 4 pints on Friday night and played rugby on Saturday. Won't be doing that again. Was absolutely jiggered after 20 minutes....

I'm the same. When I used to go out on the razz I'd get a shocking hangover but had a bottle of red wine on Saturday night and up with the wee one no bother at all Sunday morning!

My theory was that most pubs these days don't clean out the pipes/pumps properly so you get a bit of crap in your pints.

Pretty sure I tried to test the theory by only drinking bottles but must have had too many as I can't remember

Does anyone else find it tough to say no to the odd Cheeky one?
I'm not a prolific drinker at all, Saturday's mainly, and once or twice a week at the most, but was trying to stay off it til Feb, played yesterday and went up for a coke, 6 magners later I got home, with a bottle red for me and a rose for the wife no will power at all.
Is it just me that succumbs to the demon??

I'm not a big drinker, in fact I'll only drink a few times a year. But I find that it can often alienate me from my mates a bit as they all love to drink most weekends and to be honest, I kind of gave it all up when I was 20.

I've nothing against those that like a drink in the slightest but I would rather be able to hit the gym, play footy or play the next day.

Dont really drink. But dont mind the odd real ale or a nice malt. But not had any for at least 9 months or more. Funny thing is though when I do decide to have a good drink I never get drunk or have a hangover. Not got a clue why?

ive never drank, and never have the slightest interest in starting!

strange? i think so. buts its cheap and ive no idea what a headache feels like. lol

About 5 years ago I had a job that paid well and I could get away with turning up with a stinking hangover and do nothing all day.

My flat also used to be right in the town centre near all the pubs/clubs and I was single. Used to get paid every Thursday and without fail I was out every thurs/fri/sat/sun and sometimes midweek if there was a decent footy game on cause I lived pretty much next door to a sports bar.

I had fun but now I don't drink nowher near as much, mainly due to my job now doing random drink/drugs tests ad I work shifts.

I still like a good drink but no where near on the scale I used to.

Can't beat a nice cup of tea after a game of golf...preferably with a couple of toasted teacakes and jam. Not fussed about drinking nowadays. Had enough when I was younger. I get pissed too easily and hate hangovers.

I only used to drink twice a week. Once for 3 days. the other for 4 ;)
Presently, I'm into my 3rd week on the wagon. How smug do I feel :whoo:
I do miss a glass of wine when I cook though....especially if I have a Sunday roast

I had a fairly (very) boozy Friday and Saturday just passed. I don't drink booze through the week and because I've got nothing on at the weekend I'll probably not drink at all. However, if I have one I do get the taste for it and one becomes four or five, so if I'm not having a session I'll have nothing at all.

Dont drink that much but do make it :)

Currently have around 40 litres in 2 of my kegs in the garage + around 100 bottles, best thing about it is that it only costs me about 22p a pint. Now that grain prices keep coming down it becomes even cheaper :)

I hardly ever drink during the week - unless I'm having a boys night in whilst the Mrs is out. I'll treat myself to a couple of bottles of brown ale or a bottle of red wine with a steak or something.

Hardly drink at the weekends unless we have company or am out and about somewhere. Not ideal when I have numerous stag events upcoming - can't keep the pace any more and I'm only 27. It's quite pathetic!
