hi all

i posted last night saying about my horror round with constant sh**king , and wether i should play in the comp.

well i decided to play in the end , playing very poorly , but only one shank :o

to be fair my driving was exellent , but my irons and putting were very bad, i was actually scared to hit my irons , having no confidence which of course doesnt help , still , looking forward to next one :)

(by the way the guy that won was one under gross on the front with 27 points, off 18!!)

At least you had the mental fortitude to go out again after a bad day!

You didn't shank it anywhere near as much so over the next week, get yourself down the range and hit some half shots with your irons until the feel and confidence start to come back, then 3/4 shots and finally some full ones.

With any luck you'll be hitting those irons as well as the woods!

24 points off the whites is pretty good about 6600 if i remember correctly

Your confidence will come back with the irons soon enough then you will be shooting -1 through 9

I thought i did well with a level par front 9 last time i played your place and that was off the yellows

Hey Ant

If the bloke who won it got 27 and you got 24, then thats pretty close

Well done mate, you have a lot of growing to do, but you are well on the way.

keep it up and dont get fazed by the odd bad round

Most of us on here have had bad runs, and when you get out the other side, you see how much stronger you are.

LOL mate the other guy had 27 on the front nine :)
Keep her lit though wee man, work on the short game, you will notice hackers practice the driving and those that really work at their game are always on or nearby the chipping and putting greens.

I too have been suffering from the same thing. However my pro has been working with me, strengthening my grip and making me work for a draw. Today at last I was relaxing and hitting my irons much better. Still a lot of work to do.

This must be like some dark undercover group in this thread and so may I be allowed to join the collective car crash?

Got to a stage on Saturday where i had to hit a hybrid from 155yds to avoid the ball going 45* to the right. Truly terrifying, particularly when it started on hole 6 of a 36hole championship!!

Well done for getting straight back out there, I am on my way to the club tonight to try to fix it myself with a shoe box to place just outside the ball!!

27 points off the front 9......

Blokes a Pedro

Dont try to compare yourself to him, he has been at it longer.

Just do your own thing, you will be fine
