Hi all quick random question. I won £75 in pro shop vouchers the other day and don't really need them. Debating purchasing something from him then selling that item on a well know auction site. Anyone any ideas what would be the best in terms of profit margins etc?

could you sell the vouchers to someone who could use them for say £60?

I won them in a open pal so don't really know anyone from Burnley or I would Defo be doing something like that

Are they specific to your pro shop or general EGU vouchers that you could sell on here? Not sure how it works in England but up here I believe all comp win vouchers are SGU ones that can be used in any golf shop and some other retail outlets too. Been an awful long time since I won any though!

Good point mate to be honest I don't know as they're in the post to me. Fingers crossed for vouchers that can be used elsewhere 👍🏻

if they are just for that pro shop I would buy something like a GPS and as it will be sealed and brand new id say you should be able to break even

Could take the vouchers to your pro shop and stalk customers to find out if they're buying anything above £75. Then as they approach the till you could grab them and ask if they want it a fiver cheaper by buying your voucher. Then you'd have to bolt as the police might have been called and you'd have to find a new club, but it is a solution.

haha i know this is obviously going to happen!
Would they give cash as change for the vouchers though? e.g. if you bought a box of balls for like £20, would they give you £55 change back in cash? As that would be a win if so. Or even if they give more vouchers/in-store credit as change, check the expiry and keep them until you need more balls/tees/new glove etc.

Maybe you have a friend who needs something from the shop. Then you could just buy what they need with the vouchers then exchange the item for cash with them. Or, you could gift them to someone as a present. You wouldn't be out of pocket but you'd be in their good books!
