Like many clubs in this post-lockdown period we have started playing competitions but have made them non-qualifying to avoid having to process the cards via computer. All have been individual stableford competitions over a measured course played to the modified CONGO rules re bunkers, flags, cards, etc.

Due to the conditions the scoring has been exceptionally low for our course and I wondered if we should be considering adjusting any handicaps based on general play?

Obviously no CSS has been calculated but cards over 36 points have been checked by the organisers a few days later. We have no option for on-line score entry.

There are likely to be 2 or 3 more of these before we introduce qualifying so should we just ignore the scores or make some adjustments?

There is no way that this can be done within the rules. Shame the club haven’t put in systems for qualifiers, many have and with a little thought and a bit of extra work its easily done.

This weekend is medal weekend, and the previous 3 weekends we had "Covid qualifiers", and apart from the first weekend all have been off the whites. Thats 8 qualifiers you could have played after today if you had been lucky enough to book a slot.
It isnt hard to do, we just use the IG app to submit our scores after the round and scores over 36 pts or under par need a photo of the card submitted as well.
It seems to work very well:)

Sadly we use an old version of Club2000 but hope to upgrade shortly to the V1 version which will allow this.

Our committees took the EG and County advice to not play qualifiers for a while which is now being changed and qualifiers will begin in a couple of weeks.

Saldy we are missing out on lots of scores for use in WHS calculation but there a bigger issues at the moment so just glad to be playing.

As your still on the old version I understand the problems, life becomes so much easier under V1 and the upgrades to HDID.

Hope they change asap
