Adjustable Drivers - A Good or Bad thing?

My opinion is it's a good thing for one reason. It causes people more enjoyment when they hit a good shot obviously. So its good to see a hacker can reduce their slice/hook and enjoy the game a bit more.

After reading some of the other comments, I think if you have an adjustable driver to correct a big slice then that's not really what there about. I see technology has pushed them towards creating better launch angles and increasing loft etc which is just adapting the driver to suit your best needs.

To correct a bad swing isn't what they are for....

To optimise the club to you personally... Yes.

Not many off the peg drivers are square. Most are closed, and some are open.

If you want a neutral setting, you pretty much have to go adjustable.

I caught the PGA tour coverage on Sky a couple of weeks back and Dustin Johnson was on showing what's in his bag and he said his Taylormade R9 driver and 3 wood were set to draw to combat his natural slice .........if its good enough for him surely the rest of us mortals can use what's available to us to help our games.

I don't have one as yet but given this comment from one of the longest drivers in the game I would not have any problem with using it. :p

I am trying to understand the Adjustable Fight Technology used by Cobra and othere...
what is the difference in changing the set-up to closed (or open) and just adjusting your grip at set-up to close (or open) the face?
I assume I am missing something?
Cheers
Ian
