Hi all,

First post here so here goes...

Has anyone had in their mitts a new Adams XTD TI driver as they should of been out by now but just wondered if anyone had seen/hit one yet, they are forsale in the states but can't find anyone selling one over here yet, I see the hybrids, fairway woods and irons are available just not the driver for some reason.

What loft did you go for, looks really sweet, seeing as I'm a little Adams obsessed I need to stick an Adams driver in the bag to match my gear but it needs to be 12*

Went with 10.5. That can be set to 12 or 9 if required but I don't buy in to all the adjusting, like it set up once and left. Have a 9.5 driver with black tie should I need to hit it low with lots of roll.

will be interesting to see reviews when they are about more, but to me it seems like you almost need to miss the ball to lose 20 yards off the drive.

I certainly loved my 9015D (one of my regretted sales, but I know where it is so it might return!) and others got on pretty well with 9064LD.

I know someone who seemed to be cornering the 9015D market for a while! But I think he's settled down to just the 3 now!

Can't say I like the XTD's Slot, but guess the matte black hides it pretty well.

Decent, real, shafts, as normal, too!

well I've had a few drivers from Adams like the 9064ls, 9032ls still got and an F11 but the one which feels amazing and easy to hit is the 9088ul, I just needed to loft up to a 12* driver so I bought a Ping G25 with a Grafalloy bimatrix shaft, quite a bomber but just no feel like the Adams gear, the 9088ul is prob the best looking head of them all.

Up until quite recently, from about 2006, I've always had at least 1 Adams club in the bag - and up to 3!

Got a Superlight (Cleveland SL290) and figure they aren't really for me, but 2nd hand Adams woods are relative bargains! And there's a hybrid for every 'need'!

Just spoke to Adams as I wanted to check something with them and they have started shipping them out to retailers or you can order through any Adams Golf account holder!

Stock shaft is the red tie, which is mid launch mid spin... theoretically fitting the majority of golfers. Not sure whethyer or not Direct Golf would offer a no-charge upgrade (probably the wrong term) to a Black or White Tie, should your swing require it.

I loved the idea at first that every head is COR tested, but then thought about it a little more. Presumably only those drivers exceeding the legal 0.83 limit are put to one side, and any falling below or quite a bit below the 0.83 will not? Does anyone know how that will work?

Either way, I love the idea of a 12* head, assuming it sits sqaure and without any draw bias in that higher loft.

I'm a big Adams fan and am sure I'll pick one of these up at some point in the future...

Well its bought, sits lovely in every position on the adjuster, hit it okish but thats down to me sticking a screwdriver through my left thumb yesterday trying to fix the hoover(wife is now hanging from a tree outside), feels softer off the face and thats what I like, I was hitting a consistant 260/270 yards but my Ping G25 wasn't too far behind, still at 12 degs my launch angle was still low at around 12/13 and spin rate at approx 2500/2700, will see what its like when I get to bash it on the course, thats if my thumb stays together.

Congratulations! :)

Numbers are pretty good, you could just do with a tad more launch if possible.

I understand the XTD has the same shaft adaptor as the SLDR (and other TM drivers), so shafts should be easy to come by if you wish to tinker in future. :D

Any pointers to a shaft that could generate a tad more launch, I like playing with shafts...golf shafts that is..lol...had a bimatrix and a YSQ in the g25 which went well but still looking for the Holy Grail.

Ive liked the look of the last few Drivers Adams have had out, even a white one. the trouble is they only ever offer one shaft option, or did anyway. first one i tried had a Prolaunch blue a a high launching shaft that just went way to high for me. when i asked about upgrading to a prolaunch red i was told the head was designed for the shaft that it cam with:( Last year they had the speed line out looked good, tried one but only came availble with a Kura Kage shaft which went high and right to put it mildly. no other shaft options and the same story.

shame.
