It was good to see Adam Scott back to winning ways at the weekend in the Australian Open.

Fair enough the leading names were not there but you can only beat what's put in front of you. Despite a couple of wobbly putts in the final round his game seemed quite in check from the coverage I saw.

Since the presidents cup he seems to have been on a bit of form - hopefully he'll be back in contention in 2010.

Looked a nice course they played the Open on down under - anyone else see much of it?

Yes, good to see him winning again, as he has been a serial under-achiever over the last few years. A few years ago he was hailed as the next golf superstar, but it hasn't panned out like that. He also seems like a nice guy (I know, I know, so did Tiger).

Got a celebrity girl friend, got on the razzle dazzle, game fell apart, no suprise. Nice to see im back. Wonder if his love life has split. May be she is another notch on Tigers post.

I watched a little, looked like our Open with the wind. Agree Scott looked like he was playing well. Lots of guys missing short putts but those greens looked fast and hard and with the wind short misses were not surprising.
Spent 8 months working at the north end of Sydney some time ago, didn't play any golf but the views took me back.

Very very talented guy and just behind Garcia in the unwanted "best golfer not to have won a major" tag IMHO.

Hopefully this win will spur him one next season

Agreed. He has a great swing and fantastic ability....

About time too.
He should have won loads more by now.
Very much an under-achiever - this should help get back to where he should be.

Agree wholeheartedly with all the comments particularly the under achiever tag. When he first burst through he really did look like he'd be a real deal and up there at the top for ages. Sad to see him go so far into decline but glad he's showing signs of a resurgence. I don't think he'll get that major now but would be good to see him give the Yanks a run more often on the PGA tour

He's only 29 and got plenty of golf left in him. He just hit a slump like Westwood did at a similar age.

The 'under achiever' tag is a bit harsh, i'm sure he was world number 3 when his private life fell apart and he picked up a bad knee injury while surfing!
He's got a new girl (some top tennis player) and is now over his injury and it appears has remembered how to win again.
I'm sure he'll be back, i have a feeling he'll have a good 2010.

But Sink is focused on golf, where as Scott is focused on knocking off famous, rich, beautiful women. Who has his priorities right? Bet Scott is having more fun.

I tipped him to win a major this year. It was just unfortunate that my tip coincided with his catastrophic dip in form.

I still think he will win a major.
He has a swing that I could watch all day.

I don't know that he has the game. I know he is top drawer but there seems to be a je ne sais pas about him in the same way as others like Casey and Donald. They can look a million dollars but in the majors they don't always seem to be on fire. Maybe its a temperament thing or an inability to peak at the right time

Like him as a player and a person and when he's "on" he's as good a ball striker as there is on either tour....but he's a bit like Sergio in that the putter is his weakness.
When these guys aren't quite at the top of their game and have to scramble for a score its the putter you need to deliver and too many times they are found wanting and end up shooting 74/75.When Tiger's struggling he normally gets in at par or 1 under.Rarely will they be at the top of their game all 4 rounds...although he did win the unofficial 5th Major I think that will be the best win of his career.
