Achilles Tendon Rupture Patients

How do all,
Is there anyone on the site that has ever ruptured there achilles tendon.....
I done mine 16 months ago and iv been told that its easier to re rupture it once it has gone once.....
Im just wondering since i had signs of tendonitis before the 1st rupture and ignored them do you get the same signs with a re-rupture or does it just snap without warning.

Im considering going back playing football but i would love anyones thoughts if they have experienced the above
