I was dumbstruck when my one went in. I always imagined I would do cartwheels but when it happened I just stood there looking even more confused than normal not saying a word. It was only when the high 5's came in that I snapped out of it.

Total of 9 for me, but I've been golfing 30 years and play on a par 3 course, so some may say I've under-achieved!
Distances range from 100-170yds, highlights being:
What I will say is that they are totally random. Ability-wise I've stayed fairly steady, but the holes in one have come at very irregular intervals. So never give up!

- holing one on the 170yd last hole to shoot 25 and
- when I played a game with my wife's best friend's husband and his mate. When I turfed up they told me they play for money, I was already well up when I holed in one on the 8th :whoo:

As I mentioned earlier, I've never had any. Playing today with my wife, who is a complete beginner, and she hit a nice shot right at the pin which pitched and ran towards the hole. I'm shouting at it to get in but it hit the pin and didn't drop. "How would you feel if I got a hole in one before you?", she asks.....

Non, but I holed from 248 yards for an Albatross ...... I'd swap that for a hole in one though !!!

None.. Been close a few times, but not dropped one yet.. The pic below is just about the closest I've come.. My ball at the bottom, and Davey Mac's ball on the right.. 180 Yard Par 3 - Matchplay.. He stuck it to 6 inches. I went next and needed a hole in one to half the hole.. Landed about 5ft short of the pin and rolled to 3 inches.. It would have been the best half in the history of golf!!!

My first was when I was playing on my own and was called through on an uphill par 3 . I hit it and rushed to put the club back in the bag and to make sure they did not have to wait long. They started jumping about and I thought I had hit one of them !!

None. In 35 odd years I've hit the stick halfway up (not chance of dropping at the speed it was going) and finished a few inches away but barely had anything that threatened the hole. In fact I hate par threes and tend to mess a lot of them up
