Heading up to Belfast for a gig and a long weekend and hoping to catch the winter rates on the Dunluce links at Portrush. Anyone know any hotels around about with a spa type place for the wife while I am away golfing? Also any recommendations for hotels in Belfast?

Cheers

Portrush does not really have a top class Spa resort which is one of the reasons why it will struggle to get Open Championship. Ramada is probably best hotel in Portrsuh but is 3* and will lack facilities for the wife.

If you dont mind a 30/40 min drive Radisson Roe park is good for Portrush and has cracking parkland course of its own.

If a spa is a required feature, you will have to stay outside Portrush. Roe Valley, as above is an option, or you could consider Galgorm. That is 45 mins to an hour from RPGC. It also has a golf course.

You could also stay at The Culloden, which is near Royal Belfast Golf Club, Holywood (McIlroy's old club) and near the coast road up to Portrush:

The Culloden is a good shout and would save you changing hotels. 15 mins from Belfast, hour from Portrush and cracking hotel. The Radisson used to do packages where you could book Royal Protrush and other local courses and they would organise transport etc but not sure they do this anymore.
