Accenture Matchplay

Scores wise McIlroy been by far the worst player todate in the comp, just run into players playing worse than him, will need to improve substantially if he's to win this (he'd be approx 12 behind Westwood/Mahan)

Still think anyone can beat anyone and belief in that gets stronger after every round lol

Right, today I'm going for Kuchar, Wilson, Laird and Bae.

Although if Rory gets his act together he should win but needs to play better than he has been.....

Good day for Ping today 3 out 4 players in the semi-finals, not bad for clubs that old men use, see no ones calling Ping at the moment could it be something to do with the comp G/M are running at the moment !!!!!!!!!!

Apart from a wobble in the middle of his game against Karlsson, Lee's been in superb form.
If he keeps it going Rory's going to have to play out of his skin to keep up.
Rors is making a few too many mistakes I feel.........

Westwood v Mahan final.

Westwood to win when Mahan duffs a chip on the 17th.....:rofl::rofl:

it doesn't matter how well you play or how many birdies you have, all you have to do is beat your opponent and rory mcilroy has done that well enough.

i'm sure he will up his game when he needs to just like he did against bae last night as he was doing well for a bit.

rors short game at the moment is 2nd to none and his bunker play....wow!!!!

i'll be honest i like to watch them both play and think it will be brilliant but i much prefer rory so for that reason i'll be rooting for him.

Looking forward to Lee Vs Rory... Should be a good one if they continue with their good form of this week so far...

Be happy to let Rory have this one in the hope that Lee can go forward and bag himself a major this year... Please!

Come on Rory, you can do it wee man. Keep the head, no rash decisions (avoid all shots near tree / cactus roots etc..) Spilt the fairways, nail your irons, and solid putting. March to the final, send Westy home crying and build up momentum to wipe the floor at Augusta

Interesting folks are rooting for Rors! I'm going to plump for Westy as he's been much more consistent and is looking far the better prospect for doing well at the Masters as Rors is all over the place. Can't help thinking Rors still puts himself in the 'Drive for show' camp, and needs to work on putting if domination is his goal. Before anyone says Westy is no great putter himself he's still well up on Rors score wise and I'd rather that approach than what Rors is doing. His tactics will probably change a wee bit today and try to hit more fairways. Westy seems very confident and formidable.
Early days but some players looking great for the Ryder Cup and glad to see Poulter bombed out. Too interested in all his other commitments at the mo. Can't see him making the team despite past performances but still the chance to get his game back and do a job us.

great to see TWO BRITS in the final, great for European/British golf.

I like both their swings and approach for different reasons, looking forward to hopefully a great final.

Whoever wins they are both winners this week.

Semi final I think?

Interesting article in telegraph online saying these 2 dont see eye to eye at all and each would dearly love to beat the other, part of the reason Rors left Chubby Chandlers stable too. I'm in the McIlroy camp but Westwood's in good form.

I got that impression when watching those two plus Poulter and some Chinese guy doing a promotional tour in China. Westy was winding up Rors who seemed to lack a thick skin. Poulter could dish it and take it but wee Rors wasn't really in the loop. I like Rors honesty in interviews but he does seem to lack the ability to listen to others e.g. when hitting into a branch, his caddy is there to carry the clubs and not much else, Chandler etc. all building a picture. However, it seems most of those that go on to win loads of Majors have flawed personalities, but what do I know as never even met the guy!
