Strange weekend in golfing terms, we played a society on Friday in Stableford and though they where bandits and one a cheat I ended with 20 points!! Only 7 on the front nine, I felt like jumping in the bunker and hiding in there but with the amount of sand I had hit out of it there wouldn’t have been enough to cover my little toe. Then Yesterday in Matchplay I beat the Rabbits champion in a trophy to qual for the next round 3 and 1 and played pretty steady and only used my driver 3 times, all of which failed to leave the ground so I was driving with a 4i and loved it.

Golf is such a weird game, one day you want to quit and sneak off to the car park and go home and the next day walk into the clubhouse like a man who has just won a million dollars.

How did your weekends fair?

I havent even so much as looked at a ball since Thursday for 2 reasons:

1) i've slightly injured my left wrist, I did it a while ago and thought it was ok but it started hurting again whilst playing at vig's place last week.

2) the wife went to see Take That on Friday & saturday night so we were staying with friends in Sunderland and I didnt have enough room in my car for my clubs.

The wrist is feeling better now though so i'm planning on getting a game in sometime this week.

No time for golf this weekend just gone. It was The Boy's 8th birthday and there was plenty to do to keep HID's blood pressure and stress levels down!
Going out to play in a while once I've decided which course I'm going to play!!

Yep, week last Friday I shot my lowest score at Roundhay, and I left a few shots out there wished my weeks leave away played last friday and was truely awful, even by my standards!!!

I'm having a break... it's not that I want one, my body is knackered. Sore everything. I didn't realise that turning 40 would mean my body would simply pack up. Next time I play will be with Smiffy probably (25th June) and I'll be lucky to score 10 points in the whole round I reckon.

Saturday was caled off due to the amount of rain that fell. Sunday was our first round of the better ball knockouts. Hit the ball really poorly as did my partner, probably the worst I've hit it all year. We managed to win on the 18th thanks to my partner chipping in for an outrageous par!! Our opponents weren't happy but that's golf you never know waht's going to happen.

Spoff, when did you play? I might have seen me outside the clubhouse with pint :)
How chuffing drunk were you ;)

We teed off just before 9am so I hope I didn't see you with a pint :D

I did see a bloke playing in an adidas t-shirt and jogging bottoms and wondered if it was Keef though :p
