Yesterday played me first game in nearly 18 mths, thanks to Odvan, a fellow forumer.
Despite having never met the guy, he dropped us a pm and invited me along to his course for a game.
So this is just to say thankyou..:thup:

This morning, i'am fit for niether beast nor man, even my nails are aching, but thats beside the point. I had a cracking day, on a cracking course, with a top gent.

I know we have our fallouts from time to time, but this is quite a special place, with some special individuals, so thanks again mate....:cheers:

Oh, i nearly forgot. The course was Stand gc in Whitefield.
A very good course and well worth a visit if your ever in the area.
You can also change your shoes in the car-park, wots not to like...:fore:

This is the type of thread I like to read. I've been lucky enough to meet some great guys through here and had invites to some fabulous courses.

I think you get out what you put into this forum :thup:
 
Stand is a very underrated course, I played there a couple of years ago in an alliance match the chap I played was a 2 H/c Senior lovely man. We managed a half between us.

Your right Doh. Considering the weather we've had recently i was amazed how well it looked.
That just leaves Walmersley gc locally and i've played them all.
Anyone a member...:whistle:

Ah shuddup ya big jesse ;), almost brought a tear to my eye. Then again :D. It was a pleasure and as thought picked a belting day for it - knew you'd be feeling the affects today though. Welcome along again any time.

Where abouts in Bury do you live?

Odvan has offered a round with me as well at some point and I'm going to take him up on it in the very near future.

Played Stand GC once before and didn't play to well but it's a nice course. Where do you normally play?

Did he tell you he played off about 15, then slashed it round in about 8 over? That's what he did at my gaff. Biggest bandit I've ever met........:D
