Most amazing round today. I play off 13 and did the front 9 in 9 over par. Ok you may think and I was pretty relaxed knowing I would be lucky to be in my buffer zone.

However, wait for it, I did the back 9 in level par meaning I came in with a nett 67 and will now be down to 12.

Unlikely ever to happen again although I am sure someone on here will come up with a better statistic.

well done, good inwards 9.

I had the opposite this morning, went out 1 over and came back 8 over. I play off 12 so should get a cut as I was 1 under CSS unless the afternoon players burnt things up.

Good man. I know exactly how you feel being three over my handicap on the 7th and then playing the next 12 in +3 groos to shoot 39 points and win the stableford. Its great when you can let your mind switch off from all the negatives and the golf just flows. Shame it only happens once in a blue moon. Well done on the back 9 and the cut. Do you know if you won?

Well done fella.
I started off today running onto the 1st tee, putting one out of bounds and hitting a provisional into the thick trees on the left of the fairway and took a 9 (par 4)
it didnt end there, 9 over after 4 holes and ready for suicide.
Something inside urged me to throw every effort at making the rest of the round enjoyable as our fourball consisted of two of us usuals and two other guys playing with us for the first time. Immediately things picked up I birdied the index 1 (short drive, 3 wood and 1 putt) next and got to the turn at 10 over, 12 over walking onto the index 2, hit a screamer of a drive just drawing round the corner of the dogleg to get there and not find it anywhere to be seen, with a fourball charging behind us I decided that it wasnt worth going back to the tee (stroke) as I wasnt going to win and making the buffer zone would be unlikely.
Teed off the 512 yard par5 with the wind behind and across, hit driver and wedge to 10 feet and walked off with a birdie and then drive pin high on the last hole (322 par 4) chipped on and holed that birdie putt also. Talk about gutted that the ball on the 15th disappeared in strange circumstances!
It did show me that having a horrendous start wont phase me in future. I guess this goes to show that there is hope for us all!

Well done on the recovery brendy. That happened to me a few months ago smashed a drive straight down the middle only to be nowhere in sight. Ended up with a 7. :S. Hate that.
