So, the last Medal of the year passed yesterday, and a really crap round has left me pondering the year overall, and more importantly, looking forward to April already.
I set out this year, after to being off 12 for many years, to really 'have a go' at reaching Single figures, which lots of friends said was well within my grasp, and I felt I could well get to.
Overall, a good Summer's Golf followed, and by early September, I sat 3rd in our 1st Division Order of Merit, was in a Final of a Club Knockout, and on the 12th September, I finally reached my Target, getting to 9.2
Since then, my game has gone to Ratshit, and not only did I lose the Final 2&1, playing badly I have to add, I havent managed to put another good round together to get anywhere near my HC, and consequently didnt make a late charge on the Order of Merit, but worse of all, have finished the year @ 9.5, (10 HC), which is a smidge annoying
I guess I should take the positives on reaching my Target, but cant help being miffed at playing so badly for the last month, which I cant put my finger on really.
So, considering I dont play a whole lot once winter kicks in, but I do only live half a mile from the Practice ground, I'm gonna set my stall out and get onto the range 2/3 times per week and keep the swing loose to hit the ground running once April Medals arrive.
