910 to 913

Titleist boobed by making the 910 too good!

Seems to be the case!

I wonder what the end product would be like if they could make the very best legal driver with unlimited budget? Surely they're pretty close to their best with what they give their tour pros?

I looked at the 910 but it was still pretty pricey in the second hand market and managed to pick up a Cobra AMP stupidly cheap so won't be changing any time soon!

The thing with Titleist as opposed to other manufacturers is that rather than re-inventing the wheel, they use feedback from the tour pros to tweak what they have. It's not about trying to do something new and different, but improving on what is already a great product. TM et al could learn a lot from this philosophy

I forgot to mention between the 3 shops he has my pro sold more 910 drivers in 2012 than any other driver. Pretty good considering it was released in 2010. In fact i believe it was the oldest driver still current at the start of the golf season.

As someone said earlier thing Titleist are looking for people to move from other makes, I've went from TM R11 to the 913 and the difference is night and day!!! I found the R11 unforgiven and the harder I tried with it my driving got worse.
While getting fitted for the 913 I took the R11 with me to compare stats and was found out that it was on average 65 yards off the centre of the fairway ( most of my 2nd shots came from the ruff this year ).
When trying the 913 and playing about with lofts and the setting I got it down to 12 yards off the centre and to see the ball fly straight down the middle is great and bringing back my confidence in my driving.

So it's a big thumbs up for me

I've got a 910. Tried the 913 but actually prefer my own so I won't be changing.

Once we get probate sorted and I decide about new bats I want to look at Cally, Ping and Titleist as my clubs of preference and will look at a C/F. The reason for this is they provide (in my opinion) the most stylish and playable better player clubs which will match my quest for single figures.

The 910 is my driver of choice at the moment. It just looks a proper driver and I love the way it sits. I think Mark Crossfield has (or has promised) to do a comparison video

He did do a comparison video. I think they were practically the same results ways.

However I wouldn't say they are better players clubs. For myself as a high handicapper they have helped my game a lot. The driver and rescues gave me so much more distance and accuracy, and I have tried almost every brand and model out there. For all the comps I played and the fact I didn't play at all for the first 4 months of 2012 I still got cut almost 4 shots and expect to get cut more than that in 2013. Having broke 90 in a 4bbb matchplay when I couldn't even break 110 before 910.

Tried the 913 today, pretty good but I didnt see the extra value in £300 over the 910.

What I did see was the new Kai'Li shaft which was slightly lighter than the older light blue one (new one is darker blue), so if I can get to try the 910 D3 with the new shaft it might be what I've been seeking.

It has taken me ages to find the right shaft for my 910 D3, but I've now found it. Grafalloy pro launch red. (ignore my sig, it's out of date). Bombing it miles today. Miles. And on the fairway. Result.

Would I change to a 913? No. Can't see what it would give me. Forgiveness? Don't need it. If my swing is gash, no forgiveness is going to help. I'd stick the same shaft in it, so no gain there. 300 notes or essentially the same club? No thanks.
