4BBB Comp and Strokeplay (Medal) at the same time...allowed?

Not me (!) but have noted a player who is out in a 4BBB has also signed up for the (non drawn) medal on the same day.

Is that allowed? Could be potentially slow as they have to play out every hole regardless of their partner's score but can they keep their own card and submit it for the medal?

I would think it would raise all kinds of issues about advice, playing out of turn to give advantage, etc, which are part and parcel of a 4BBB format.

What is situation if 4BBB is a stroke play event?

I thought from Amanda's reference to scorecards that it was a stroke play event. The medal could not be a Qualifying Competition (CONGU Manual 17-2a). I think you have also answered your own question above with reference to the conflict between an individual competitor and one of a partnership where advice can be asked for and given.

Assuming the Medal was a qualifier, CONGU does not allow a score from 4BB to be used as a qualifier.

Yes medal is separate competition/qualifier and 4BBB is strokeplay rather than matchplay.
