40 putts

Yeah I too miss a lot from under 3 foot (I feel huge pressure/tension from putts your 'expected' to hole) but tend to putt quite well from distance and get close to pin ( when not expected to hole it )

I went through a spell of this, and then I told myself that even on a very good day I'm likely to miss at least one that I should make.

So now I line them up with the attitude that I'm going to miss now and again from this range and then just hit the putt. I find doing this relieves a lot of the tension and fear from "those" putts that you feel you shouldn't miss and now I actually miss far fewer.

I had a decent putting practice today. The practice green was fairly wet and slow, took my V-Easy along to remind me the correct stroke. Spent most of the time hitting 30 ft putts and would say I was getting much closer than usual. Certainly left a few three putts out there so more practice needed. Probably left my session a few putts earlier than I wanted, but I'd hit 5 out of 6 6ft putts so thought I'd leave on a high.

So, was it a good purchase?
