Got my 3rd competition of this season tomorrow.

Another Medal! My word, I am getting brave!

Last season saw my h/cap rise steadily with the mainly Stableford competitions I played.
Hopefully my golf has now plateaued(sp) as it has remained stable for the last 3 competitive rounds. Looking to think more sensibly and course manage better tomorrow and hopefully get into a h/cap cut position.

Had a quick knock on my own after work tonight and played crap! I did the same thing last week and played well in the comp. Hope the same happens again tomorrow.

Last week my confidence was quite low as I drove to the club. Emptied my head of as many thoughts as I could on the 1st and thereafter and played well.
Looks like I'll try the same routine tomorrow.

Just realised, better get the clubs clean before I turn in!

Hopefully I'll be back on tomorrow to tell all about a good round!

Disaster!

A beautiful morning. Lovely spring sunshine, quite a breeze which kept the heat down but played hell with some shots.

Anyway. Badly sliced my drive off the 1st but recovered well with a well struck 5 wood which put me back on the fairway and in a good position.
Just couldn't seem to hit the irons well today. A couple of penalty shots due to bad drives and mis-hit irons.
On the bright side the chipping was quite good overall. Putting still needs work though.

Finished with a forgettable 108 gross for 82 nett. More practice needed methinks.

Still, it was a lovely day with pleasant company. That's what it's all about..........isn't it?
