30 Golf Milestones

I'm sure you have posted this before? It annoys me that the items are not in logical order (i.e. break 100, break 90, break 80 etc). I definitely said that last time as well. 😁

I'm on 15/30 for sure, but I honestly can't remember if I've flukily holed a bunker shot or not.

I’ve done 23and the one that bugs me the most is going full round bogey free. I regularly shoot par and still have never had a bogey free round. Made it to the 16th bogey free but that’s as close as I’ve been.

All except

Albatross
Attend a major
18 greens in regulation
Scratch handicap

Could tick one of them off fairly easily I suppose.

And

31. Play a round with clubs that are more than 45 years old. ✔️

My own list - thought of ‘off the cuff’

- Join a club
- Get a handicap
- Improve that to ‘whatever your aspiration is’
- Get a birdie
- Get an eagle
- Win a club comp
- Play every form of competitive golf in a match eg. Foursomes, fourball, Match play etc
- Play a club match
- Attend The Open
- Play whatever Bucket List / Treat courses you aspire to

I reckon that’s a better list for the majority of golfers!

Yet to meet someone who has had an albatross... Fair play to anyone who has had one...
I know two people that have had an albatross. One was on a 520 yard uphill par 5 and the other was on a 320 yard downhill par 4. I’ve never been close.

As for the list personally, I’m missing
10, 13, 17, 22 and 28 although I do play off +1 from our forward tees🤔

18 GIR is one hell of an ask. I’d imagine there’s are some very good golfers indeed who haven’t done that. As in pro players.

The stats say even a scratch golfer has a roughly 50% chance of a GIR on any given hole. Therefore the chances of 18 in a row are roughly the same as flipping a coin and getting heads 18 times in a row, so around 0.0004% for each round played. Most of us are a lot worse than scratch…
