New 3 wood has started fading. Was going straight at the range. Grrrrr.

Any thoughts? Could it be a duff lol.

But seriously, i was experimenting with the standard ping "alda"? Shaft, but was persuaded to order with the "better" shaft. The one with the orange ring on it.

You're an amateur golfer (educated guess), its more than likely down to your swing not being the same from 1 day to the next. It doesnt take much in the path/club face relationship to change to alter the shape on a club as long as the 3 wood.

Though, are you talking a slight fade or a big slice?

OP should realise that new clubs always go straight on the range/during the fitting so you buy them. It's a bit like when you meet a new girlfriend and then get married (without the Mother in Law!)

When I went for a fitting the Pro recommended the Alta in stiff but I too went for the Tensei (in Reg) but I found it was a shaft that need a bit of oomph put in to shot to perform really well and ended up buying the Alta second hand.
