Hi all,

wanted to let you know about a web site I've built that some of you might also find useful. I've read a lot of golf psychology books and one of the things that keeps getting mentioned is the idea of keeping a Good Shot Diary. Finishing your round and writing down the 3 best shots of the day. Then you can re-read these shots every day so when you are faced with a similar shot next time you'll be able to remember the positive memories and approach it in a confident manner.

www.3goodshots.com is the web site I've put together for my own use, but hope some others may find it useful as well. The idea is you finish your round, enter your three best shots - then every day you'll receive an email with a good shot for you to read over and remember. Quite a simple concept but it has been working well for me over the past week.

You need a Facebook account right not to login to the site - but I'll be adding more ID providers soon. Please feel free to give it a try - hope someone else might find it useful

Cheers
Nick

.... keeping a Good Shot Diary. Finishing your round and writing down the 3 best shots of the day.

Does it apply to 36 holes in a day. If so, I might stretch to 3 good shots.

Nice....seems like a fun (and positive) thing to do. :)

Thanks for the replies - you can just enter one good shot if that is all you feel you did in a round and leave the other two blank, but I'm sure if you thought about it you can muster up 3 good ones :D

Cheers

This sounds like one of Karl Morris' training routines. I've heard him talk about this several times. The idea is to get used to looking back over good memories and associating each hole you play at your home course with a good experience.

Have you tried his "Par 2" practice routine for getting up and down? That's an excellent one. Same for tracking all your range shots good/average/bad to get used to making every shot count.
