Hey everyone,

I've been struggling to find a good digital stroke counter that’s durable, easy to read, and simple to use. The affordable ones I’ve tried always seem too fragile or frustrating to operate.

Curious—what features do you think are essential for a stroke counter to be truly useful on the course?

I made this short survey— would love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you,
Sven

Never really felt the need for one and I've been playing golf for a long time.

What a coincidence that I acquired one very recently. I buy second had stuff on Ebay and it is always interesting to see what is hidden away in the bag. Bottom right in photo.

It is remarkably sturdy and the wheels give a reassuring and precise click at each turn.

Thanks for the feedback, I also tried this one.
Not at all handy with gloves - you need to turn each wheel full circle to reset and mine has several figures that just don’t click anymore - but I like that it has all 18 holes.

On the off chance that this is a genuine request, and not the sort of spam we sometimes get on the forum, I'd say
  • Screen legible in sunlight
  • Buttons that can be locked for if it's being placed in a pocket
  • Buttons large enough that it can be operated with gloves
  • Loop or something for bag clip
  • Maybe audible feedback for when buttons are pressed?
  • For a simple design like this, the battery should last an AGE. If you're having to replace it or recharge it every couple of rounds, that's going to be very annoying.

Thanks SjW,
Good points!
Would you want to export / connect the figures to a mobile ?
Could you please fill the survey, if not done yet.
Thanks.

Sounds like a fun little project, actually. Maybe I'll compete with you and see who can make the best one ;)

Done. If I get email spam now I'm filling your survey up with bogus answers ;)
