I've looked all over the place for a replacement bulb for the light outside the back of our house.

What I'm after is a 2D 10w 4 pin lamp.
It's not the usual 2D lamp (approx 6"x6") but a smaller version measuring approx 3"x3"
Any help in sourcing one would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking and your reply DDD.

They appear to be the larger sized 2D lamp though. The fitting specifies a 10w bulb and is the smaller size. Just can't seem to find them anywhere.

Have a look in Yellow Pages for Elecrical Factors/Suppliers. You might be cheaper replacing the complete lamp as some of these specialist bulbs can be expensive.

To to your local electrical suppliers (CEF or similar) NOT B&Q with said bulb in hand and ask for another exchange dud for good hand over money hey presto new bulb. It will be muc cheaper than a DIY shop.

Cef, Rexel Senate, WF, Edmundsons are all good electrical wholesalers and might have one. Although in 8 years of being/training to be a sparky I have never seen a 10w 2-D. The common ones are 16w and 28w

I know Stu. Seen loads of what I'd call standard 2D lamps (about 6"x6")
Never really come across the smaller (3"x3") ones I have installed.
It would be easier to remove and fit a new light fitting but I like the small overhead light already fitted in the porch.
