2017 M1 issues...

Yeah it's a 2017 model. It was the first time I took it out. The TwentyTen is bloody hard with no driver

That's shocking customer service. Got a Scotty a few months back from local Golfsmiths. A couple of rounds in and the head started to come loose. Took it back and I just wanted them to re-fit the head, but htey insisted on giving me a new one as it would invalidate my warranty if they carry out the work.

The 2017 M1 is a nice driver though, well when the heads not flying off..............

Should be sent back to TM for a new one. But I would be looking for a replacement for the mean time, or a new one off the shelf if they have it in stock.

I bought a ping G30 December 2015, it broke over Xmas a few weeks ago and took it in and they sent it off and 10 days later had a brand new one. Had no receipt or anything.

They've called and said I can come have another one if I'm playing before TM send me the new one. I'm in 2 minds now between sticking with the M1 or giving the Epic another chance. They've said I can have either one

seems a very fair deal (over and above) from ag. if only they'd do things the fair and just way eveytime, they'd have a much better rep (imo)

That is good that they are offering you the option of a different product.

Pathetic that a driver of over £400 is of such poor quality. I am not a fan of TM.

Cars costing many thousands of pounds fail, let's face it pretty much every item has failures. Anybody ever had an iPhone fail, I known of many people that have within weeks of having one.

.... now if we were hearing that 1 in 5 drivers are snapping then that would be very different!

To be fair it was just unfortunate and is certainly not a major TM issue with their equipment. I had a Ping G20 driver a few years ago that had the shaft give way in exactly the same place as the OP on it's very first shot on course. I don't hold that against Ping and just accept I was unfortunate with a duff item.

As mentioned above, just because a product costs £xxx doesn't mean you won't get the rare one that is below the required quality.

Any time any of my cars have failed I've got a new one too. Can't be dealing with issues. I don't think this is a TM issue though, it's a Project X shaft, so not a TM one. If the head cracked it would be different but a shaft snapping can't be TMs fault.

I will hit the Epic again up against the M1 later to decide which one I will go with. They didn't have a Sub Zero in when I preordered the M1 so a head to head with those will put my mine at rest. Need to find a shaft that callaway do with similar numbers to the Hzrdus yellow

If looking for a shaft with similar numbers to the HZRDUS then have a go with the Matrix Black Tie

I'm booked in tonight to hit the M1 against the sub zero so should know which route I will be going with by the end of tonight. Iwill try the black tie if it's similar to the Hzrdus. Will report back later

Went in tonight and picked up the replacement M1. I tried the Epic again but couldn't get numbers to match up to the M1. I think I'm strange as I was able to swing the TM driver 5mph quicker, with no reason for it.

Interestingly they said TM had already had 6 sent back by Monday with the same issue

I caused a bit of a reaction by saying that TM clubs were perhaps not good quality? I think this might suggest that their quality control at least is not as good as it should be.

Unbelievable the lack of knowledge of the Sale of Goods / Consumer Rights Act being displayed on here, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing as they say, repeat a few words and expect the retailer to fall down quivering with fright, this is what is so wrong with people nowadays 😡

I'm glad I'm out of the retail business now, if I had any of you lot spurting rubbish at me I'd be doing double digits in a cosy cell somewhere.

The ones that have come back have all had the same project x Hzrdus shaft so sounds like it's a bad batch
